2 Injured in Indio Truck Collision on 10 Freeway at Eagle Mountain Road
Indio, California (August 22, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that led to a major injury crash Thursday morning in Indio.
The single-vehicle collision was reported at about 2:52 a.m., August 20, on the Interstate 10 Freeway near Eagle Mountain Road.
Officials said a semi-truck slammed into the interstate’s westbound side and overturned around 100 feet down the ditch in the morning hours.

One person suffered serious trauma while a second victim survived with moderate injuries. Meanwhile, both patients were airlifted to the hospital for medication.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
