Francisco Silva Airlifted after San Luis Obispo Crash on Highway 46 near Cholame “Y”
San Luis Obispo, California (August 13, 2019) – Francisco Silva, 45, of Creston was seriously injured in a fatal crash that that left one person dead and several others injured on Wednesday night in San Luis Obispo, according to a local news source.
The crash occurred at about 10:00 p.m. August 7, on Highway 46 near Cholame “Y”.
CHP said a 2015 Honda Odyssey minivan was traveling eastbound on Highway 46 when it tried to turn left onto Highway 46 and collided head-on with a westbound 1997 Ford F-150.
Francisco Silva Injured in Fatal San Luis Obispo Crash, August 7
Silva was a passenger in the Ford. He sustained major injuries to his head and was was airlifted to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
A right front seat passenger in the Ford truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Both drivers and other passengers were transported by ambulance to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
