1 Injured in Altamont Pass Car Crash on Altamont Pass Road near Dyer Road
Altamont, California (May 12, 2021) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Altamont on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:57 a.m. on Altamont Pass Road near Dyer Road.
A white Toyota Corolla and at least three other vehicles were involved in the accident. The manner in which the accident happened, however, was not immediately established.
Two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by the firefighters who responded to the incident.
The authorities said the victims were transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
