San Diego, CA: 2 Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Sea World Drive

San Diego, California (April 22, 2021) – A car crash has claimed the lives of two people Wednesday night in San Diego, according to authorities.

The deadly single-vehicle wreck happened at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, in the 500 block of Sea World Drive at Sea World Way.

The authorities said a 19-year-old man was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 on Sea World Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed into a light pole.

The vehicle then hit a street light.

Deadly Car Crash on Sea World Drive in San Diego

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the driver and his female passenger, also a 19-year-old, who were trapped in the wrecked vehicle.

Sadly, the two victims were declared dead at the scene. Their names have not been disclosed.

Police closed the westbound lanes of Sea World Drive while conducting an investigation.
