San Jose, California (April 15, 2019) – The 83-year-old man who was injured late last year in a traffic accident in San Jose has died, according to police.

The accident took place at around 2:50 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Camden Avenue and Camelia Drive.

Police said a 16-year-old boy was driving a blue 2012 BMW southbound on Camden Drive while a black 2006 GMC Yukon driven by a 53-year-old man, was making a left turn onto Camelia from northbound Camden drive.

For an undetermined reason, the BMW then struck the GMC on the passenger side. The force of the impact caused the GMC to roll multiple times.

The 83-year-old man, who was a passenger in the GMC, was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries Monday, April 15, 2019. His name has not been released pending notification of family.

Both drivers stopped at the scene and complied with investigators. Neither drugs nor alcohol was suspected factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
